And now, for the complete introduction: I’m Joe Feldpausch, a diligent designer, cardist (someone who's into the art of cardistry — cool card shuffling), and creative entrepreneur based in the United States. I create stunning playing cards, logos, motion design, and graphics for businesses, brands, and creatives. Over the past six years, I've crafted multiple visual identities, worked for a graphic design agency, and successfully crowdfunded my own playing cards.
I graduated from Grand Valley State University with a bachelor’s degree in graphic design in 2022 and launched JOEFDSGN my senior year to house my entrepreneurial pursuits and freelance work. After graduation, I gained valuable experience working at a design agency for two years, where I honed my skills and prepared myself for the freelance world. I've had the privilege of collaborating with prominent clients such as Herman Miller, Haworth, and The Eames Office.
Beyond design and cardistry, I'm passionate about staying active through sports. I currently play soccer, baseball, and golf. I’ve found that staying active contributes to the clarity of my creative thought process. In all my pursuits, I embrace a studious approach marked by a meticulous attention to detail and intentionality. Looking ahead, I aim to stay a disciplined and humble creator, always striving to be the best version of myself.

From there, we'll jump into concept development, exploring different design directions to bring your vision to life. You'll have the chance to see some initial designs and provide your feedback, because this is a collaboration every step of the way.
After we've fine-tuned everything to your liking, I'll put the finishing touches on the designs and prepare them for delivery. And remember, even after the project wraps up, I'm always here to lend a helping hand if you need it!

Cardistry sparked my passion for design and motion principles long before I pursued graphic design professionally. Creating intricate moves in this art form required a deep understanding of composition, balance, and visual rhythm, laying the groundwork for my design expertise.
